Aigerim Shuster
Traditional Multi-Instrumentalist • Music Producer • Music & Early Development Educator
Aigerim Yersainova Shuster is a Paris-based musician, composer, and producer specializing in ancient traditional music dating back to the 7th century. Renowned for her mastery of rare instruments such as the kobyz, zhetygen, saz-syrnay, and shan-kobyz, she brings their mystical, timeless voices into the soundscape of the modern world.
Performing under her stage name Aiya Shuster, she explores bold musical crossovers — from “TradFunk” (traditional music fused with funk rhythms) to cinematic and experimental scores. Her performances honor the cultural heritage of the steppe while reimagining it for a global audience.
